Since the beginning of my photographic work, I have been studying the aesthetics of everyday life. A black and white series of manhole covers from around the world was my first project i made over several years that attempted to explore this theme. The "Trinklichter" ("Drinking Lights") series is, in a sense, a continuation of this photographic examination of the supposedly banal things of everyday life. The subject of these motifs are ordinary plastic bottles, glass bottles or drinking glasses. An exploration of the visual insights these objects provide in everyday use. This creates images of the inside of the vessels with or without drink residue. Object photography from the inside out, so to speak.
