Since the beginning of my photographic work, I have been studying the aesthetics of everyday life. The black and white series of manhole covers from around the world was the first project I created over several years that attempted to explore this theme. The "Trinklichter" (“Drinking Lights”) series is, in a sense, a continuation of this photographic examination of the supposedly banal things of everyday life. The subject of these motifs are ordinary plastic bottles, glass bottles or drinking glasses. This is about exploring the insights these things provide. This creates images of the inside of the vessels with or without drink residue. However, the point at which the object loses its original purpose and is about to be disposed of is always recorded. Fleeting mandala of daily consumption that calls for mindfulness - towards the things that surround us, the things we carelessly throw away and therefore towards the planet we live on.

Some of the motifs shown here and others are now also available as calendars in bookstores or on Amazon! Each in formats A5 to A2. Have fun with it! Bookstores or at Amazon! Each in formats from Din A5 to Din A2. Have fun with it!
